Vajra Yogini Initiation Saturday, May 29, 2010, 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2010, 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 31, Memorial Day, 2:00 p.m. Since taking the Vajra Yogini Initiation itself requires a previous initiation into the practice of one of the primary anuttarayoga tantra deities, a Chakrasamvara initiation will first be offered by Rinpoche prior to the Vajra Yogini Initiation. Vajra Yogini is a Highest Yoga Tantra (Anuttarayoga tantra) practice which is a level of tantra intended for those students who have a firm foundation in the Graded Steps of the Path (Lam Rim) as well as a good understanding and appreciation of bodhicitta and the concept of emptiness of inherent existence. It is intended for those students who have a deep commitment to Mahayana Buddhist practice and who have the aspiration and intention to develop bodhicitta. This practice requires taking the bodhicitta and tantric vows and a commitment for the rest of your life to daily recitation of Six Session Guru Yoga, the Vajra Yogini mantra, and the self generation sadhana. Vajra Yogini is a dakini who is the Essence of all Buddhas. Vajra Yogini Commentary Tuesdays and Fridays 7:30 to 9 PM, Friday, June 4 July 4, 2010 Attending the Vajra Yogini Commentary requires that one has taken the Vajra Yogini Initiation of the Naro Kachö tradition which will be offered by Khensur Rinpoche. See prerequisites and commitments in the explanation of the Vajra Yogini Initiation above.
Saturdays 10 AM to 12 noon and 2 PM to 3:30 PM, June 5 July 3 Attending this teaching requires that one has taken a Highest Yoga Tantra Initiation. This is a daily commitment for anyone who has received a Highest Yoga Tantra initiation and allows one to practice the general tantric vows and the tantric root vows as well as the samayas (pledges) of the five Buddha families. The text is by Panchen Lobsang Chokyi Gyaltsen. De Lam (Path to Bliss) Sundays 10 AM to 12 noon, June 6 June 27 De Lam (translated as Path to Bliss or Easy Path), is a Lam Rim (Stages of the Path) text by the first Panchen Lama, Panchen Lobsang Chokyi Gyaltsen (1570-1662). The Lam Rim teachings bring all the teachings of Buddhism together into a complete and easily apprehensible system of practice. There are no prerequisites to attend this teaching. |
